Many outstanding science educators serve museums, the zoo, and other informal science venues. They are the docents, tour leaders, and scientists who inform and inspire us outside of the classroom. Many university level professors/ staff help K-12 teachers and students with projects, lessons, and mentoring. 2018 University Professor/Staff Educator Nomination Form
Each year the SDSEA recognizes excellent projects done by 7-12 students at the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. Criteria for the award-- The SDSEA judges look for good science, done with the use of simple materials. Awardees receive $50, a plaque, and dinner at the SDSEA Awards Banquet. Their Science Fair teachers/advisors also receive recognition.
