Observer's Inn Sky Tour

The SDSEA Field Trip to the Observers Inn, in Julian, February 15, 2012 was terrific! Seventeen members and guests attended the hour long night sky observation session presented by Michael Leigh, resident astronomer. Research grade telescopes brought hard to see objects into clear view on a cold, windy evening.

The mostly clear sky afforded naked eye and telescopic observations of nebulae, open star clusters, globular clusters, red giant stars, planets and moons.  A great time was had by all. Thank you Martin Teachworth and Brendan Casey for setting up this adventure.
